School is starting back up for many families within the next couple of weeks. We actually started back to homeschooling this week. And while it may feel a little early to some, I’m already thinking ahead to the holidays! But that’s just who I am. I’m type A. Which means I’m a planner! What Makes The Curious Thing Different?
One big hesitation I sometimes have with ordering personalized gifts online is wondering what the finished product will actually look like. What if I don’t love the way the photo gift turns out? What if something looks a little off? Once a personalized item has been printed, there’s typically not much you can do about it as custom gifts are usually non-refundable. The Curious Thing takes away a lot of that uncertainty. The buyer gets to see a proof created from their own uploaded photo before paying. And nothing is printed until the artwork has been approved.
I was even given the option to have them provide a second and then third design option before deciding which version I liked best! (I ended up going with option one in the end.). But it was nice to have a variety of choices. It also made the experience more fun. I got to compare the different versions and choose the one that felt the most “them.” I took into account the background, colors, and facial expressions before settling on the first option.

I am completely smitten with how our canvas turned out! I started with a photo that we already loved but seeing that familiar image completely reimagined in an anime-inspired style was really neat. While I’ve had typical custom photo canvases made before, and I love displaying family photos, I’ve never seen anything quite like this. The Anime style adds so much spunk and personality. The entire process was quick and easy and the end results are phenomenal! It’s going to be REALLY hard for me to wait until Christmas to see their reactions on this gift.
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters.
