There are some packages that arrive at my door and immediately get everyone’s attention. My recent delivery from Flora Marteen was definitely one of them! My oldest daughter happened to be home when the package arrived, and it didn’t take long before both of my older girls and I were admiring each piece.

These Flora Marteen pieces are seriously some of the prettiest swimwear cover-ups and resort wear pieces I’ve ever seen. The sheer fabrics, gorgeous embroidery, shimmer, flowing silhouettes, and beautiful details make them feel so much more special than your typical swimsuit cover-up. They’re the kind of pieces that make you start dreaming about a warm-weather vacations. Enough that even if you don’t currently have one booked, you just might start planning.
Meet Flora Marteen
I love discovering smaller brands with a meaningful story behind them and Flora Marteen has a beautiful one. Flora Marteen is a small-batch, USA-made resort wear brand based in New Jersey. This company is named after the founder’s grandmother, Flora. She’s a seamstress who was raised in Buenos Aires. Her craftsmanship became the inspiration behind a collection filled with crochet, knits, sheer metallics, and other elevated pieces designed to transition beautifully from the beach to evening.
Buenos Aires Embroidered Chiffon Kaftan with Chain Belt
GORGEOUS! That’s honestly the first word that came to mind with the Buenos Aires Embroidered Chiffon Kaftan with Chain Belt. The shimmering sequin details are absolutely beautiful and really catch the light. It’s glamorous without feeling like you’re wearing something overly formal to the beach. The lightweight, sheer design allows your swimsuit to show underneath while instantly making your poolside look feel more polished. It has a relaxed kaftan silhouette with a V-neckline, flowy elbow-length sleeves, and features an easy pull-on design.
One of my favorite details is the delicate gold-tone chain belt at the waist. It’s such a simple addition, but it completely elevates the look and gives the flowing kaftan a little more shape. Available in black or white, it’s easy to coordinate with a variety of swimsuits.

Another standout is the Palermo Embroidered Chiffon Cropped Pants. I love the idea of resort pants because they provide a little more coverage while still keeping that breezy, vacation-ready feel. The lightweight, semi-sheer fabric gives them an airy appearance. While the wide-leg silhouette creates beautiful movement. They’re designed with a flattering high-waisted fit and relaxed shape that works perfectly over swimwear. You can complete the look with the Palermo Embroidered Chiffon Tie-Front Top.
This top doesn’t look like your typical swimsuit cover-up! The semi-sheer fabric, deep V-neckline, dramatic draped sleeves, and adjustable tie-front design give it a beautiful resort-inspired look. The front tie also offers some flexibility with how you style it. Wear it over a swimsuit for an elevated poolside outfit or pair it with the matching pants to create a gorgeous coordinated set. Both of these pieces are available in either white or black and the flowing fabric gives them an elevated appearance while still being appropriate for warm-weather destinations, cruises, beach vacations, and resort stays. I just can’t rave about them enough.

It’s not often that all three of us girls immediately fall in love with the same clothing, but Flora Marteen was a hit with both of my older girls and me. These pieces feel unique, feminine, and special. The attention to detail really sets them apart. And I especially love how easily they can transition from a swimsuit cover-up to a complete resort look.
Now the only problem is deciding who gets to wear which piece!
