Thank you to Poleish Sports for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own. Most of our family members live nearby, so we can get together at least every couple of months for some sort of celebration. With the new lifestyle we have all been forced into due to COVID-19, these family events have recently been held outdoors. Thankfully, the weather has cooperated. Our most recent outdoor party involved three generations of the family, ranging in ages Read more [...]

Thank you to Zak! Designs for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own. With the focus now more so than ever being on our own personal safety and preventing the spread of illnesses to others as well as ourselves, I turned to Zak! Designs. Zak! About a month ago, I began writing an article to discuss creating a home evacuation plan. I planned on sharing it this month because September is National Emergency Preparedness Month. Little did I know, I would be putting my home evacuation plan to use before sharing it with you. I live in Oregon. We currently have 47 wildfires burning. Hundreds of thousands of acres are burning out of control. People have lost absolutely everything. Watching the news is devastating. We feel helpless and Read more [...]

Thank you to Serenity Mountain Foods, LLC for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own. My mom and step-father have found CBD products to be very helpful with a number of issues they are experiencing. Nothing major…just some aches and pains from being on this earth for 60+ years, finding themselves crankier than usual (her words) with all that is going on in the world right now, some sleeplessness and brain fog (probably brought on from lack of sleep Read more [...]

One of the blessings we have found through our time sheltering in place is that we have become more creative with our meals. With us having more time at home and fewer trips to the grocery store, we have been exploring new meals. A few months ago, I had the idea to try a potato bar dinner. I got big bakers potatoes for my husband and two daughters and a sweet potato for myself. Then I set out a bunch of traditional baked potato toppings. It was a hit! The meal was easy to prepare, delicious, Read more [...]

With us still sheltering in place, I have been able to experiment with several new recipes. One new recipe, I recently tried was making Mediterranean Stuffed Pork Tenderloin. This recipe came together out of need. You see, my absolutely wonderful husband did our monthly shopping at Costco. While there, he grabbed a tub of feta cheese remembering that the week before I had mentioned wanting to get some. In my mind, I imagined getting a cute little container of feta, but him not being a mind reader, Read more [...]

Thank you to Fun.Com for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own. I don’t know about you and your family, but the members of our family are feeling overwhelmed and a bit stressed at the thought of going back to their classrooms. I decided to help lighten our heavy moods with a few playful back to school items I found at Fun.com. I selected cozy pajamas, cuddly pillows, and comforting mugs for both of my daughters. We all know that being successful Read more [...]

My 13-year-old daughter absolutely LOVES making overnight oats. Almost every night before going to bed, she combines a number of ingredients to make a delicious meal for the next morning. I asked her to please share some of her favorite combinations with me. Here is what she had to say. When I make my overnight oats, I start with the same base and then add whatever toppings I want. My base is - 1/2 cup rolled or steel-cut oats, 3/4 cup milk or milk alternative, and 1 tbsp milled brown flaxseed. Read more [...]
